What training methods do you use?

Thames K9 emphasises a personalised, holistic approach to dog training, recognising each dog’s unique needs and personality. We leverage all quadrants of operant conditioning, which allows for a flexible approach to training and behavioral modification.

Where do the 1-2-1 coaching sessions take place? 

1-2-1 coaching sessions take place at your home or around your local area.  We believe it is important to train in environments with real life distractions that you and your dog will be exposed to day-to-day.

Do I need to bring anything to my 1-2-1 sessions?

If you have chosen for your session to take place in your local area please come with a filled treat pouch, your dogs regular walking equipment and favourite toy! These sessions take place outdoors in all weather so please dress yourself and your dog appropriately.

Our daily walks have become very stressful due to my dog's reactivity. Can you help?

Yes! With understanding and consistency reactivity can be overcome. Our Walk & Train service is also suitable for Reactive dogs.

I am struggling to get my dog to come back to me when off lead, can you help?

Of course! Solid recall is so important for the safety of your dog and others.

 

Can you help stop my dog pulling on the lead?

Absolutely! This is one of the most common issues we help people with.

How do I pay for services?

Payment is to be made via Bank Transfer ahead of services commencing. A payment link will be sent to you along with your booking confirmation.
